He Doesn’t Change !

“I the Lord do not change.”  Malachi 3:6

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  Hebrews 13:8

“I will never leave you, nor forsake you.”  Hebrews 13:5

“Do not be afraid, Abram, I am your shield, your very great reward.” Genesis 15:1

He doesn’t change. . . He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. . . He will never leave us or forsake us. . . He is our great reward. . . He doesn’t change. . . He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. . . He will never leave us or forsake us. . . He is our great reward. . . . He doesn’t change. . . He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. .

Let those words sink in. They bear repeating and repeating until they pierce our hearts and minds and we know that God doesn’t change. He’s the same God who parted the Red Sea and pushed back the flood waters of the Jordan; who bewildered the enemy with a praise choir; who delivered three from the fiery furnace and shut the mouths of hungry lions. He’s the same God who calmed the furious waves with ‘Peace be still’ and rose from the grave to conquer sin and death.

He doesn’t change—God  will be the same tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. He will never, never, never, never leave us (literal translation) or forsake us. He doesn’t change. . . not when illness attacks or tragedy strikes. . . not when jobs are lost and finances drained. . . not when daily frustrations mount and our strength is sapped.

In times like these, we fight the lies of doubt and fear with truth—God is the same today as He was yesterday. He will never forsake us. And He loved us enough to die for us.

Truly He is our Great Reward

O God of Glory and Might, burn these truths into our hearts. Help us to fight the enemy when he comes with his lies of doubt and fear. Strengthen our faith. And let our trust in You become a light to lead others to Your throne so they will also come to know You as their great reward.
